In this position, the work you do on a daily basis will assist us in ensuring that Sunnyside Lutheran Retirement Village, our aged care home, has a safe, clean and pleasant environment for the Elderly Residents.

About the Role
In this role, you are one of the fundamental members of the operational staff. Included in your job description is the duty to help clean and maintain hygienic conditions of the facilities of the aged residential care center known as Sunnyside Lutheran Retirement Village placed in the Horsham area.
The role requires those staff members to take on a large amount of washing of resident rooms, cleaning common areas as well as other spaces within the facility. You will be required to aid in ensuring the premises are always clean and hygienic as well as beautifully arranged for the use of all residents, visitors and residents of the facility.
Daily Responsibilities:
If required, be at the facility common areas, residents rooms and other building areas: Clearly, your primary duty will be to ensure that all areas such as lobbies, lounges, dining rooms and even baths and treatment areas and private rooms are always kept clean and are in good condition.
- Also, cleaning bathrooms and sanitizing: All such areas forms part of your proper supply and vacuuming including floors and doors that are dust-free. All together they help ensure safety and provision of a hygienic environment.
- Replenishing consumables: Check supplies like soap, toilet paper, and other materials from time to time making sure these are on hand for the residents and the staff at all times.
- Reporting maintenance issues or concerns: In case you have any reason to believe the equipment or the building is in one way or another in a state of disrepair, it will be your duty to inform the appropriate members of staff in order to assist making sure all other places are operational and safe.
- Adhering to health and safety policies and procedures: This position requires a great degree of responsibility on the part of the candidate. It is mandatory to follow all health and safety notices so that residents are kept safe as well as you and your colleagues do not get put in danger as well.
- It is for this reason that you will be placed in an environment of collaboration and support where all of your actions will have positive implications for the residents of the facility.
