On the other hand, for this position we are looking for a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Labourer who has the capability of maintaining this world class vision at all times. It’s a full-time position with no restrictions (meaning hours or a contract) and is probably located in one of the most beautiful yet secluded regions i.e., Field, BC.

While satisfying the day-to-day operational needs of the facility which include the aesthetics and structure of the lodge, this position will have a strong influence at achieving the core objective.

Position Overview:

Emerald Lake Lodge Maintenance Labourer gets to enjoy the great outdoors while looking after the different aspects of the lodge. This entails performing essential duties such as conducting repairs, renovations and assisting in the lodging’s infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Building Maintenance and Repairs:

  • Drywall Repairs: Drywall repairs will be routine in your tasks and this will guarantee that the lodge is purposely geared towards making the guests comfortable.
  • Painting: In the case of refreshing surfaces where it is appropriate to use primer and paint, you will take care of that as well, as part of the maintenance.

This also includes ability to answer and execute requests from guests for small repairs, or changes.
  • Health, Safety, and Compliance: Safety Awareness: For any working environment, secured your safety, of your work mates and even the guests; this implies observing all the safety aspects considering the use of equipment, chemicals and even handling of hazardous materials.
  • Chemical Handling: Don’t ignore chemicals while managing hot enlisted bathtubs, managing sewage plants or even cleaning materials. every chemical has its own set of rules and liability which must be obeyed to stay out of danger or disaster.

Skills and Experience Required:

Safety Awareness: Comprehensive knowledge of the safety standards applicable at the workplace, especially if there are tools, equipment and chemicals that need to be handled. Being open-minded to innovative safety practices and handling of firefighting equipment is one of the crucial factors.

Teamwork and Communication: Excellent productivity skills both in team and independently. You will be required to inform and enhance your interaction with maintenance leadership and related staff to obtain reasonable completion of all work in proper time.

Adaptability: The work atmosphere can be difficult: exposure to extreme temperatures. Hence, please be equipped dispositional wise and able to work outside work in the changeable weather condition throughout all the seasons.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly Pay: $21.00 per hour, with additional opportunities for overtime pay during peak seasons.
